Goal: Enhance brand within the community
Situation
Grow Financial, located in Tampa Bay, Florida, with $1.6b in assets, 18 branches
and 156,000 members is one of the largest credit unions in the United States. When
one of their premier locations re-located into a shopping plaza they were concerned
that visibility of their brand would suffer in a congested shopping area.
Solution
The marketing team at Grow Financial determined that sidewalk facing displays would
be an excellent method of improving visibility in their new location, especially
with a busy Publix Super Market next door. Grow Financial was already familiar with
digital signage and had it in use at a few locations, but their in-branch solution
didn’t have the ability to display a message using the desired multi-display configuration.
Brian Holloway, the Marketing Manager at Grow Financial, began a search for a digital
signage solution that could meet their communication goals but with so many solutions
available selecting the right one was a difficult task so they turned to Gregg Dixon,
the owner of AV Specialists in Clearwater, FL. As a RidgeLogic Select Reseller Partner,
AV Specialists was aware of the various ways SceneStudio could be deployed and recommended
it to Grow Financial.
To round out the communication solution three 52” professional-grade LCD displays
were deployed using a portrait orientation in the windows facing the sidewalk and
parking lot and attached to a single media player outfitted with a NVIDIA quad output
video card. Multimedia content developed by the Grow Financial media team advertises
auto loan products, credit card deals and promotes their suite of student services.
The advertisements are a mix of still images and animated messages and by using
a single media player they playback independently with a discreet message on each
display or as a single message spanning all of the displays.
Results
The marketing team at Grow Financial is impressed with the multimedia messages and
how often passersby look at the multi-display system. The displays are getting noticed
and Grow’s brand image is enhanced, helping them stand out from all their competitors
that have not adopted digital signage technology as a communication solution yet.
Due to the success of the SceneStudio solution Grow Financial is planning additional
window-based systems as well as in-branch communications that complement them.
